One side of the M8 motorway has been closed in West Lothian due to an ongoing police incident.
Emergency crews were called to the scene on the eastbound carriageway of the M8, near Harthill, at around 5.15pm on Friday.
Traffic Scotland said the road had been closed due to an ongoing police incident.
Police confirmed they were in attendance and are advising drivers to take alternative routes.
STV News understands this is due to an ongoing medical matter.
Traffic Scotland said: “The M8 near Harthill has been closed eastbound due to a police incident. Emergency services are at the scene and traffic is building on approach.”
