Drivers have been urged to find alternative routes after the M8 was partially closed due to a lorry fire on Friday.
The incident took place on the Eastbound carriageway between junctions one and two near Newbridge.
Traffic Scotland issued a warning at 7.22am regarding the smoke which is affecting visibility.
Emergency services are currently in attendance.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “The M8 eastbound is currently closed at junction 2 near Newbridge due to a lorry on fire.
“Emergency services are in attendance and motorists are asked to find an alternative route.”
