A man has been left with life-threatening injuries after a three-car crash in Clackmannanshire.
The 78-year-old was driving a black Vauxhall when it was involved in a three-way collision with a silver Volkswagen and white Audi on the A91 at around 6.15pm on Monday.
Emergency services attended and he was taken to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Glasgow for treatment.
Medical staff have described his injuries as life threatening.
A 56-year-old man who was driving the Audi was taken to hospital in Larbert where staff describe his condition as serious but not life threatening.
The 48-year-old driver of the Volkswagen was uninjured in the incident.
Inspector Andrew Thomson of the Road Policing Unit said: “We are carrying out enquiries to establish the full circumstances which led to this collision and would urge anyone with information to come forward.
“In particular we would like to speak to anyone who saw any of the vehicles involved before the crash.
“Any information can be passed to police by calling 101.”
