Police pulled over a car in Edinburgh after spotting a toddler “standing in between two front seats”.
The driver of the Toyota Yaris was fined £100 after officers saw the child out of their car seat and between the seats.
Sharing images on X, officers showed the car had both a “baby on board” sign and a P-plate.
A post on X read: “Edinburgh Road Police stopped this vehicle as when they drove passed one another, their toddler was standing up between the two front seats.
“‘Baby on Board’ – Make sure they’re in their car seat.
“Driver issued with a £100 fine.”
