A driver is fighting for his life in hospital and two passengers have been left injured after a car crashed off the A883.

Officers were called at around 7.40pm on Sunday, after a white Vauxhall Corsa travelling east left the road near Headswood Mill Farm, Denny.

The driver, a 20-year-old man, was taken to the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh where his condition is described as critical.

The front seat passenger, a man aged 33, was taken to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital in Glasgow with serious injuries.

The rear seat passenger, a woman aged 28, was treated at Forth Valley Royal Hospital for minor injuries.

The road was closed for collision investigation work and a recovery operation. It reopened at around 1am on Monday, February 14.

Sergeant David Ross said: “We are keen to speak to anyone who may have seen what happened and also anyone with dash-cam that could assist with our investigation.

“If you can help please call us on 101, quoting incident number 2935 of Sunday, 13 February, 2022.”
