An 18-year-old driver has been charged after a crash between a car and a lorry that killed two teenagers in Stirling.

Kyle Marshall, 19, and Jayden McConnell, 17, were rear seat passengers of a black Vauxhall Corsa which collided with an HGV on the A91 at around 3.50pm on March 17.

Police have charged the teenage driver of the Corsa in connection with the incident. He had previously been taken to hospital in critical condition.

The front seat passenger, a 17-year-old female, suffered minor injuries while the 29-year-old driver of the HGV was uninjured.

“He will be greatly missed by them and all his extended family, as well as his many friends and work colleagues.

“The family wish to thank everyone for their kind messages of condolence, and also want to thank all the emergency service staff involved in the aftermath of this dreadful accident.”

A spokesperson for Police Scotland said: “A report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.”
