Google MapsA cyclist has been taken to hospital following a crash in Edinburgh.
Gillespie Road is closed between Lanark Road and Colinton Road following the incident, which took place at around 9am on Thursday.
Officers have urged drivers to avoid the areas as enquiries into the collision continue.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Emergency services are in attendance and the male cyclist has been taken to hospital for treatment.
“Enquiries are ongoing and drivers are asked to avoid the area.”
The Scottish Ambulance Service has been contacted for comment.
