Cyclist taken to hospital and roads closed after crash

A 24-year-old man was taken to the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh after collision on Monday morning.

A cyclist has been taken to hospital after a crash involving a car in Edinburgh.

The collision happened on East Preston Street at around 6.30am on Monday.

Police said that a 24-year-old man was taken to the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh by ambulance.

Road closures were in place at East Preston Street with Oxford Street, South Clerk Street at Bernard Terrace, West Preston Street at Causewayside and Newington Road at Salisbury Place while emergency services dealt with the incident.
