Cyclist airlifted to hospital after being struck by SUV

A cyclist has been airlifted to hospital after being struck by an SUV in Stirling.

Police are appealing for information after a crash involving a blue Land Rover Defender and a male cyclist on Manse Road in Aberfoyle around 1.05pm on Tuesday.

The 32-year-old cyclist was airlifted to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital for treatment. His condition is currently unknown.

The road was closed to allow for enquiries to be carried out and reopened around 4pm.

Constable Ian Marshall of Stirling Roads Policing Unit said: “Our enquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances and I am appealing for anyone who witnessed the crash and who hasn’t already spoken to officers to get in touch.

“I would also appeal to anyone who was in the area and may have dash cam or private CCTV which could assist to contact us.”
