Police are appealing for information after a cyclist was seriously injured in a hit-and-run in East Lothian.

The 67-year-old cyclist was on the C68 (08) from Bearford to Northrig Access, Haddington, around 7am on June 8 when he was hit by an unknown vehicle.

The man was taken to hospital for treatment of serious injuries.

The vehicle involved left the area, and investigations are ongoing.

Police are urging anyone with information to contact 101, quoting reference 0528 of Monday, June 8, 2026
