Crews still tackling industrial estate blaze 24 hours on Peter Manson

A fire within an industrial estate is still being tackled by crews more than 24 hours on from the emergency call.

Cupar Trading Estate in Fife went up in flames shortly before 10.30am on Tuesday.

Nine appliances, two height vehicles and a number of specialist resources were called to the scene, with around 50 firefighters working to keep the blaze under control.

The surrounding buildings were also evacuated.

A Scottish Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson said: “We were alerted at 10.23am, Tuesday, July 21, to reports of a fire within a building at Cupar Trading Estate, Fife.

“At its height, operations control mobilised nine fire appliances, two height vehicles and a number of specialist resources to the scene.

“A total of three fire appliances and one height vehicle remain in attendance this morning, Wednesday, as firefighters work to make the area safe.

“There are no reported casualties.”
