Police are searching for a man from Wester Hailes who was last seen over two months ago.
Michal Oraczewski was last seen in the Hailesland Grove area on the evening of July 6, when he suggested he was going to work in Glasgow.
The 33-year-old was reported missing to police on September 3.
Police say it is not out of character for Michal to not be in regular contact with people he knows, but concerns are now growing for his welfare.
Michal’s first language is Polish, and he speaks fluent English. He is described as white, around 6ft tall, and of slim build. When last seen, he was wearing dark blue jeans and a navy blue t-shirt.
In the past, he has undertaken contract cleaning work, and anyone who may have worked with Michal during the summer is asked to come forward with any information on his whereabouts.
Inspector Paul Begley said: “Over the past two weeks, we have conducted extensive enquiries in the Wester Hailes and surrounding areas in efforts to trace Michal.
“I’m asking anyone who knows Michal, who may have seen him since July, or has any information on where he may be, to please get in touch.
“I’d also like to directly appeal to Michal; if you see or hear about this appeal, please contact officers and let us know you are okay.”
Anyone with any information is asked to contact Police Scotland via 101, quoting reference 1087 of September 3 2026.
