'Concerns growing' for missing man who may have been near retail park

Police say “concerns are growing” for a missing Edinburgh man who may have been near a retail park on the day he was last seen.

Officers are appealing for help to trace Garry Coyle who was last seen in the Parkgrove Terrace area on the morning of Wednesday, September 11.

The 64-year-old may have been in the area of Craigleith Retail Park around 3pm on the same afternoon.

He is described as being around 5ft 4in in height, of very slim build with long, grey and black hair.

Police said it is unknown what he is wearing however he may have been in possession of a rucksack.

Inspector Leanne Meldrum said: “Concerns are growing for Garry’s wellbeing and our extensive enquiries are ongoing to trace him.

“I would appeal to anyone who has seen Garry, or who has any information on his whereabouts to contact us.”

Anyone with information is asked to call Police Scotland on 101, quoting incident 1320 of September 12, 2024.
