Concerns grow for man two days after ‘out of character’ disappearance from LivingstonPolice Scotland

Concerns are growing for a man after his “out of character” disappearance from West Lothian.

Alan Niven was last seen in Tweed Drive, Livingston, at around 11.20am on Sunday.

The 54-year-old is described as around 5’8 tall, of a slim build, and with short red/auburn hair.

He was last seen wearing a blue T-shirt, dark-coloured trousers, white trainers, and a white bag.

Police Scotland is urging anyone with information regarding his whereabouts to come forward.

Inspector David McMillan said: “It is out of character for Alan not to be in touch with family and friends, and they are growing increasingly concerned for him.

“We are appealing to anyone who may have seen or heard from Alan or who may have any information on his whereabouts to please contact us.

“If you can assist, please contact Police Scotland on 101 quoting reference 2977 of July 14, 2025.”
