A funeral for Cole Cooper is due to take place nearly two months after the teenager’s body was found.

The 19-year-old was reported missing on May 9 and was last seen in the Longcroft area near Falkirk.

Specialist search teams, including a police helicopter, drones, and officers from the dive and marine unit, joined the search for the missing 19-year-old.

His body was discovered in a wooded area near Kilsyth Road in Banknock on June 4 following extensive searches.

The teen’s aunt, Aimee Tennie, has confirmed that the teenager’s funeral will take place on August 9, despite “many unanswered questions”.

Anyone wishing to attend the funeral mass at St Joseph’s Catholic Church in Bonnybridge and the celebration of life at Bannockburn crematorium has been asked to wear blue.

Investigators are still treating the death as unexplained.
