Digby BrownThe three children of a couple killed in a crash in Fife have paid tribute to them, after the driver admitted to dangerous driving.
Husband Satwant Singh and wife Jatinder Kaur were killed after a crash on the B981 near Cluny in Fife, a week before Christmas 2025.
Kaur, 48, had been driving the couple’s Volkswagen Polo with Singh, 64, in the passenger seat, when they collided with a Nissan Qashqai driven by Sophie Eve Hynd.
Hynd was arrested and charged in connection with the crash.
She pleaded guilty to causing the death by dangerous driving at Edinburgh High Court on Thursday and was remanded in custody ahead of sentencing on October 7.
The couple’s children released a statement via lawyers Digby Brown.
They said: “We could never have prepared for losing our parents in this way.
“Mum was always there for us, whether we needed her advice, reassurance or someone to talk to, she always made things better.
“She was incredibly funny, kind and loved by so many people, and always made time for anyone who needed her.
“Nothing was ever too much trouble for dad, he loved mum and us more than anything.
“He was our role model and taught us the importance of working hard and looking after the people we love.
“It’s incredibly difficult to accept they won’t be there to share the important milestones in our lives.
“We will miss them more than words can express, but we’ll carry their love and everything they taught us for the rest of our lives.
“We ask for privacy as we continue to grieve and come to terms with this devastating loss.”
