A woman has been attacked when she tried to get into her car before her assailant escaped into a nearby wooded area in Bo’ness.
Police were called after the 57-year-old woman was attacked in Grahamsdyke Terrace at around 7.05am on Monday.
After she shouted for help, the attacker escaped into a nearby wooded area that leads to the Kinglass estate.
The woman was left uninjured but was “shaken and upset” following the incident.
Officers have now launched an appeal for information and have described the woman’s attacker as around 5ft 7ins in height, and of an average build.
When last seen he was wearing dark clothing with a hood up over his head and a dark face covering.
Detective sergeant Chris Scott, of Falkirk CID, said: “Fortunately the woman was not injured but she has been left shaken and upset by what happened.
“We are appealing for anyone in the area, such as dog walkers, who saw what happened or saw this man before or after the incident to get in touch.
“In addition, anyone driving in the area with dash-cam footage or anyone with private CCTV footage that could assist with our enquiries is also asked to make contact with us.”
