A car burst into flames on a busy road outside a Fife high school on Thursday afternoon.
Fire crews were called to the scene at Station Road, Lochgelly, at around 1.30pm on Thursday, September 29.
One fire engine was deployed and no injuries were reported.
An eyewitness took to social media to express his shock at the incident, saying the car had “just burst into flames” with no warning.
A Scottish Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson said: “We were alerted at 1.30pm on Thursday, September 29 to a report of a car alight in Station Road, Lochgelly.
“Operations Control mobilised one appliance to the scene and the crew extinguished the fire and made the area safe before leaving.”
