Police have seized a cannabis farm with an estimated value of £289,00 during a raid in the Scottish Borders.
Officers received reports of a cannabis cultivation at a premises on North Bridge Street in Hawick at around 9.30am on Tuesday.
Police said enquiries to trace those responsible for the cannabis farm are ongoing.
Detective sergeant Andrew Loughlin said: “This is a significant recovery and is an example of our efforts to disrupt the trade in illegal drugs in Scotland.
“Drugs cause misery in our communities and the public has an important role to play in helping Police Scotland target those responsible for the cultivation, supply and sale of illegal substances.
“Our enquiries remain ongoing to establish the full circumstances and we are appealing for anyone with any information to contact us.
