CCTV images released of two men after train station assault

British Transport Police have released CCTV images of two men following an assault at a train station in West Lothian.

The assault occurred on a platform at Linlithgow station, following the arrival of the 8.45pm ScotRail service from Edinburgh Waverley to Glasgow Queen Street on Saturday, July 11.

Two months on, British Transport Police have released CCTV images of two men they wish to speak to in relation to the incident.

The first man is described as white, with short dark hair, of medium build, and believed to be aged between 28 and 35 years old. At the time, he was wearing a turquoise/green jacket.

The second man is described as white with light-coloured hair, of medium build, and believed to be aged between 28 and 35 years old. He has visible tattoos and was wearing blue shorts and a blue top at the time.

Officers believe the two men could have additional information that could assist in their ongoing investigation.

Anyone who recognises them, or has information about the incident, is asked to contact British Transport Police by texting 61016 or calling 0800 40 50 40, quoting reference 867 of July 11, 2026.

Information can also be provided anonymously to the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
