CCTV images of man released by transport police after train 'incident'

The British Transport Police are asking the man pictured to make contact to assist in an investigation.

Transport police have issued CCTV images of a man they wish to speak to following an ‘incident’ on a train between Edinburgh and Glasgow.

The British Transport Police (BTP) said the incident occurred on board a train which departed Waverley station around 6.45pm on Tuesday, July 19 travelling to Queen Street Station.

At around 7.10pm an “incident” occurred when the train was approaching Falkirk High Street station.

The BTP are now urging the man pictured, or anyone with information related to the incident to make contact with them quoting reference number 2200071612.

A spokesperson for BTP said: “I would urge the male, or anyone who has information relating to the male depicted in the images, to make contact with us quoting reference number 2200071612.

“Contact us by texting 61016 or by calling 0800 40 50 40. Calls can also be made to Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.”
