Police Scotland has allegedly requested that the protestors move their demonstration further away from the hotel
A brick was thrown through a window of a hotel housing asylum seekers in Falkirk during the early hours of Tuesday morning, following a month of protests.
Falkirk For All, a community group dedicated to opposing racism and discrimination, said the incident was “an attempt to intimidate our neighbours in the asylum system”.
“This act of intimidation is unacceptable and should be universally condemned by all groups, but it does not happen in isolation,” the group said.
“Rising anti-immigration rhetoric is fuelling hostility and creating an environment where such actions take place. Everyone has the right to feel safe in our community, and actions like this bring our town into disrepute.”

Three anti-immigration demonstrations, organised by the Save Our Future & Our Kids Futures campaign, have taken place outside the Cladhan Hotel over the last month.
The most recent protest took place on Sunday.
The group hit out at accusations it is linked to the incident involving the brick thrown at the hotel.
“We want to make it absolutely clear: these accusations are false, defamatory, and will be met with legal challenge,” a statement posted on Facebook read.
“Our group has repeatedly and consistently condemned any acts of violence, vandalism, or intimidation. Throwing a brick, damaging property, or endangering individuals is entirely against the ethos of our campaign.
“We organise peaceful and legal demonstrations focused on community safety and accountability nothing more, nothing less.”

The group also claims that Police Scotland has requested that the protestors move their demonstration further away from the hotel.
Counter-demonstrations, organised by Stand Up To Racism, have also been held outside the Cladhan.
Police were called to the hotel at around 12.05am after reports of a brick being thrown at a window, shattering it.
First Minister John Swinney described the attack as “absolutely despicable” and was left “appalled” by the thought that people are “experiencing fear and terror in Scotland.”
No one was injured in the incident.
Officers have not made any arrests, and an investigation is ongoing.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 12.05am on Tuesday, September 9, 2025, we were called to a report of a window being broken at a premises on Kemper Avenue, Falkirk.
“Enquiries are ongoing.”
Tensions in Falkirk have risen after an Afghan asylum seeker was convicted of raping a 15-year-old girl in the town centre.
Sadeq Nikzad, 29, was jailed for nine years in June.
