Three boys have been charged following the assault and robbery of a dog walker on a golf course in Clackmannanshire.

A 51-year-old man was attacked and robbed at Braehead Golf Club in Alloa at around 8pm on Saturday, September 26.

The man, who was walking his dog on the course, had to be taken to Forth Valley Royal Hospital after suffering head and back injuries.

On Friday, Police Scotland confirmed that three male youths, aged 12, 14 and 15, had been arrested and charged in connection with the incident.

A report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal and the Children’s Reporter.
