Boy, 14, injured after being assaulted and robbed by teens

A 14-year-old boy has been left with facial injuries after being assaulted and robbed in Livingston.

A 14-year-old boy has been left injured after being assaulted by two older teens who also robbed him in Livingston.

The victim was walking along Loan Path, Howden at around 9.40pm on Saturday when the incident took place.

He was approached by two teenage boys who demanded money before carrying out a sustained attack and making off with his mobile phone and headphones.

Police are now appealing for information in a bid to catch those responsible.

The suspects are both described as being around 5ft10 and aged between 15 and 16-years-old.

One is described as having ginger hair and a skinny build while the other had fair hair.

Both were wearing blue and grey tracksuits.

Detective Sergeant John Bowerbank from Livingston CID said: “This has been a terrifying ordeal for the young victim. I’m appealing to anyone who was in the area at the time or has CCTV to please get in touch so we can catch those responsible.”
