Thirteen-year-old boy struck by vehicle in residential street

A 13-year-old was struck on a residential street by a car in the Borders.

Emergency services were called to Bannerfield Drive in Selkirk after receiving reports of a collision between a car and a pedestrian.

A boy, aged 13, was treated in an ambulance at the scene.

His current condition is unknown.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said : “Around 4.10pm on Monday, March 13, 2023 we received a report of a crash involving a vehicle and 13-year-old male pedestrian on Bannerfield Drive, Selkirk.

“Ambulance were contacted.”
