A road has been closed after a woman was knocked down by a car on Tuesday.

Emergency services were called to Linlithgow Road in Bo’ness at around 3.50pm following reports of a collision.

An 84-year-old woman was transported to the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh for treatment.

A section of the road, between Dean Road and Dundas Street, remains shut as enquiries are carried out.

Drivers have been urged to avoid the area.
