Police are investigating after a body was found in the Firth of Forth.
The discovery was made between Bo’ness and Blackness, in Falkirk, on Monday morning.
Emergency services attended the scene at around 10.30am with a high police presence remaining in the area into the afternoon.
Officers investigating the incident say enquires are ongoing to establish the person’s identity.
A spokesperson for the force said: “At around 10.30am on Monday, February 8, police received a report of a body in the water between Bo’ness and Blackness.
“Emergency services remain at the scene.”
