Police investigate ‘unexplained death’ after body of man found in flat

An investigation has been launched after the body of a man was found in a Fife flat.

Emergency crews were called to Beath View in Dunfermline at around 1.20pm after receiving a report of concern for a person.

A 53-year-old man was discovered dead at the scene.

Officers say the death is being treated as “unexplained” and enquiries are ongoing.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “We were called around 1.20pm on Monday, March 7, 2022, to a report of a concern for a person in Beath View, Dunfermline.

“Officers attended and the body of 53-year-old man was found within.

“The death is being treated as unexplained and enquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances.”
