The body of a man found with serious injuries at a quarry in Clackmannanshire has been identified after a police probe.
Officers were called to a quarry in Tillicoultry at around 4.20pm on Saturday, August 27, following concern for a man.
A body was found which had sustained serious injuries, and the man was pronounced dead at the scene.
There are not believed to be any suspicious circumstances surrounding the death.
The man, believed to be between 50 and 60 years old, has now been identified following a police appeal.
Inspector David Bellingham, of Stirling Police Station, said: “We have now been able to identify this man and our thoughts are with his family and friends at this difficult time.
“I’d like to thank the public for assisting with our inquiries.”
