A body has been found in the search for a missing pensioner in the Borders.
Police say a man’s body was discovered in a wooded area near Newton St Boswells in the early hours of Sunday morning.
Formal identification has yet to take place but the family of James Cockburn, 86, reported missing from Town Yetholm, have been informed.
There are no apparent suspicious circumstances and a report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal in due course.
