A body has been found amid the search for a woman who went missing from North Berwick.
Helen Bunney was last seen in the Lochbridge Road area of the town on the afternoon of Tuesday, May 7.
Searches were carried out by police, as well as her friends and family in the area.
Police confirmed that the body of a woman was found near North Berwick on Wednesday evening.
Formal identification of the body has not yet taken place but the force said Ms Bunney’s family have been informed.
Police said there are no “suspicious” circumstances surrounding the discovered.
A report is set to be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.
A spokesperson for Police Scotland said: “Around 7.20pm on Wednesday, 8 May, 2024, the body of a woman was found near North Berwick.
“Formal identification is still to take place however the family of Helen Bunney, who had been reported missing from North Berwick, have been informed.
“There are no suspicious circumstances and a report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.”
