A body has been found during the search for a woman who has been missing in the Borders for more than a week.
Melita Hachey, 30, was reported missing from Galashiels at around 2.45am on February 22.
Police confirmed a body was discovered in Kelso at around 5.30pm on Monday.
Formal identification is due to take place, but Ms Hachey’s family has been informed.
A spokesperson said: “Police Scotland can confirm that around 5.30pm on Monday, 2 March, 2020, the body of a woman was found in the Kelso area.
“Formal identification has yet to take place however, the family of 30-year-old Melita Hachey who was reported missing from Galashiels on Saturday, 22 February, 2020, has been informed.”
