Attempted murder arrest after man left fighting for life

A man has been charged after the 42-year-old was found lying outside a house in Fife with knife wounds.

A man has been charged with attempted murder after an alleged stabbing outside a house in Fife.

A 42-year-old man is fighting for life in hospital after being found lying near a property on Methil Brae, Leven, with knife wounds to his leg at 5.15pm on Monday.

Emergency services were called and he was taken to Ninewells Hospital in Dundee where staff describe his condition as critical but stable.

Police have now arrested a 44-year-old man in connection with the incident and charged him with attempted murder.

Detective inspector Chris Mill said: “Officers reacted quickly to the situation and following an investigation led by detectives alongside local uniformed officers and engagement from the community, we were able to arrest and charge a man in connection with this incident.”

The suspect is due to appear at Kirkcaldy Sheriff Court on Wednesday.
