A sheriff has issued a warrant for the arrest of a man accused of firing arrows in his garden.

Gavin Alexander, described on court documents as also known as Tyson Escobar, is accused in an indictment of alarming the lieges by firing arrows from a bow in his garden in Falkirk’s Westquarter – an alleged offence of breach of the peace.

The incident is said to have happened on January 2 this year.

He is also accused of possessing a prohibited weapon designed for the discharge of a noxious gas, namely, a pepper spray.

Escobar, who has not yet tendered a plea, failed to appear at a preliminary hearing at Falkirk Sheriff Court on Wednesday.

Solicitor-advocate Stephen Biggam said he could not explain the non-attendance.

Sheriff William Gilchrist issued a warrant for his arrest.
