Transport police want to trace two Hibs fans who were attacked at Edinburgh Waverley.

A man was reported to have been goading the football supporters at the railway station before jumping on one fan, causing both of them to crash to the ground.

Due to the fall, the attacker suffered a broken kneecap and femur.

British Transport Police (BTP) said he then assaulted another fan.

A BTP spokesperson said: “Officers have identified the suspect but require the witness accounts of the Hibernian fans who were targeted.”

The incident happened at around 9.30pm on Sunday, March 1.
