Appeal issued after three-figure sum stolen from business premises

A break-in occurred on Broxburn's Main Street between Wednesday and Thursday, police confirmed.

An appeal has been issued after a three-figure sum was stolen from a high street shop during a break-in in West Lothian.

Police were called to a business property in the Broxburn area Main Street after a break-in occurred between 4.10pm on Wednesday, December 20 and 6am on Thursday, December 21.

Those responsible forced entry into the building and stole a three-figure sum of cash.

No-one was within the premises at the time.

Officers are checking any relevant CCTV footage for additional information and are appealing for witnesses.

A spokesperson said: “Anyone with information is asked to call Police Scotland via 101, quoting incident number 0592 of 21 December, 2023.

“Alternatively, please call Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 where you can give information anonymously.
