Police have put temporary airspace restrictions in place near Falkirk after a body was found on Friday during the search for missing teenager Cole Cooper.

The 19-year-old was reported missing on May 9 and was last seen in the Longcraft area more than four weeks ago.

During the search, a man’s body was discovered in a wooded area near Kilsyth Road in Banknock at around 4.15pm, just over a 15-minute walk away from the last confirmed sighting of the teenager.

Formal identification has yet to occur, but officers have informed Cole’s family.

Airspace restrictions, which also apply to drone users, have been implemented in the area until 9pm tomorrow. Those wishing to fly in the region must check if it is legal.
