Activists have targeted 20 SUVs in Edinburgh with spray paint as part of a climate protest.
Members of the Tyre Extinguishers group have claimed responsibility for graffitiing SUVs for the second time this month in protest of the “safety dangers of massive cars in cities”.
Police Scotland said it received several reports of cars being vandalised in the city centre on Moray Place and appealed for information.
Edinburgh Tyre Extinguishers said on X: “We’re out again on a frosty night! SUVs decorated with climate and SUV crash victims.
“The people who drive these Chelsea tractors have assumed it as their right to dominate our streets and poison our planet.”
Chief inspector Mark Hamilton of Police Scotland said: “We have received several reports of cars being vandalised in Moray Place, Edinburgh.
“Inquiries are ongoing and we would encourage members of the public to call us immediately if they see anyone acting suspiciously close to parked vehicles.”
