The A68 in the Scottish Borders has been closed after a five-vehicle crash as Storm Bert batters Scotland with snow and rain.
Officers were alerted to the crash between St Boswells and Ancrum shortly after 8.55am on Saturday.
Police confirmed the road was closed.
It comes as drivers have been urged to only travel if “absolutely necessary” as Storm Bert batters Scotland.
The storm is set to bring winds of up to 70mph.
There are multiple weather warnings across the country including an amber warning for snow covering the Scottish Borders.
A spokesperson for Police Scotland: “The A68 is currently closed between St Boswells and Ancrum due to a crash involving five vehicles reported shortly after 8.55am.
“Weather conditions are challenging in the area as a result of Storm Bert and we would urge people to heed warnings about whether they need to travel.”
