The A1 has been closed in both directions after a lorry shed its load blocking the road.
Traffic Scotland confirmed the route at Cockburnspath was closed around 8.10am on Thursday.
The HGV’s load is blocking the Great North Road southbound just north of the village in the Scottish Borders.
Police Scotland urged drivers to find alternative routes.
Latest updates from the organisation confirmed the road remained closed as of 9am.
Drivers have been been advised to take care when approaching the area due to slow moving traffic.
