A major road near Dunbar has been closed after a crash with people urged to avoid the area.
Emergency services were called to the A1, between the Thistly Cross and Spott Roundabouts, after a serious crash at around 2.55am on Monday.
At 8.30am the road remained closed, with police directing traffic and no estimated time for it being re-opened.
It is currently unknown if anyone has been injured in the collision.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 2.55am on Monday, April 24, 2023, police were called to a serious road traffic collision on the A1, between the Thistly Cross and Spott Roundabouts, near Dunbar.
“Emergency services remain at the scene and enquiries are continuing. The road is closed in both directions with local diversions in place.”
