A 12-year-old boy has been taken to hospital after being hit by a car.
The child was taken to the Royal Hospital for Sick Children in Edinburgh following the collision on Craiglockhart Loan at 8.20am on Friday.
A police spokesman said: "Police in Edinburgh were called to Craiglockhart Loan around 8.20 am on Friday after a collision between a pedestrian and a car.
"The 12-year-old was taken to the Sick Kids Hospital for treatment for his injuries, which are not thought to be life threatening. Inquiries are ongoing into the full circumstances."
