If you've ever wondered what goes into making a television news broadcast, then this video captures behind-the-scenes footage of STV News at Six as it goes out.

The video shows how a half-hour news programme is put together, and how the director, producers, technical staff, presenters and journalists interact during the show.

STV News broadcasts three separate programmes simultaneously at 6pm Monday to Friday. Viewers in Glasgow and the west of the Scotland, the North of Scotland and Edinburgh  and the East of Scotland all see a different version of the news, presented from their area. Viewers in Dundee and Tayside also get a section of the North programme dedicated to them.

It's a technical challenge for the STV News team and we hope this video gives viewers an insight  into what's going on behind the cameras.
