A nursery manager is facing a disciplinary tribunal accused of calling a four-year-old boy in her care a “wee gay boy”.
Margaret Morrison faces a string of allegations when she goes before the Scottish Social Services Council conduct sub-committee later this month.
If they are found proven she could be struck off the register.
Ms Morrison is said to have been employed as a manager at the Hummingbird House Nursery in Dunblane when the incidents took place between 2011 and 2013.
She is alleged to have made an “inappropriate” comment about a four-year-old boy, calling him a “wee gay boy” before insisting “well he is” when a colleague pulled her up on it.
Ms Morrison is also said to have “failed to treat a colleague with dignity and respect” by having another member of staff tell her “your days are numbered”.
Further allegations state she allowed an unqualified person who was not a staff member to look after kids at the nursery, and that she allowed a room there to operate without enough staff for the number of children.
A hearing will be held at the SSSC’s offices in Dundee beginning on January 19.
