Police ScotlandA man has appeared in court charged with murdering a woman found dead at a flat in East Kilbride.
Emergency services were called to the property on Glen Lee around 12.10pm on Monday following reports of a death.
The body of Phoenix Spencer-Horn was found within.
The 21-year-old’s family have been described as “stunned and completely devastated” and are being supported by police officers.
Ewan Methven appeared at Hamilton Sheriff Court on Wednesday.
The 26-year-old, from East Kilbride, faces a single charge of murder.
He made no plea and was remanded in custody pending further examination.
He is due to appear before court again within the next eight days.
