Hospice leaders warning sector facing ‘looming crisis’

Charities say they're facing soaring costs, and struggling to recruit, as they can't match the recent pay deal for NHS staff

Around 1,200 palliative care patients across Renfrewshire and East Renfrewshire are looked after by staff here at the Accord Hospice in Paisley.

For many, it helps to prevent lengthy or repeated stays in hospital for end of life care.
