A 30-year-old man has been arrested in connection with incident in Kilbarchan, Renfrewshire, on Wednesday.

A man has been arrested after three cyclists were injured in Renfrewshire.

On Wednesday, at around 10.20pm, three cyclists were on a cycle path near Nether Johnstone Small Holdings, on Milliken Road, Kilbarchan.

A 37-year-old man suffered a number of serious injuries, including stab wounds. He was taken to the Royal Alexandra Hospital in Paisley for treatment.

A 29-year-old also suffered serious face injuries and was also taken to hospital. An 18-year-old suffered minor face injuries that did not require medical attention.

A 30-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the incident and is expected to appear in court on Monday.

Detective constable Colin Leggat said: “A 30-year-old man has now been arrested and charged in connection with this and is due to appear at court on Monday June 1.

“Inquiries into this incident continue and anyone who can help is urged to contact 101.”
