Commuters faced severe delays after a traffic collision closed two lanes of a busy motorway.
Lanes two and three of the M8 in Glasgow were closed just after the Kingston Bridge following the crash between a car and a van, leaving just one lane open to traffic.
A man and a woman received minor injuries in the collision, which occurred at around 5.45pm on Monday between junction 18 and 19 eastbound, near to Charing Cross.
Traffic Scotland advised motorists to approach the area with caution and to use a different route if possible because of tailbacks around the incident.
A police spokesman said the road was fully re-opened by 7.45pm. He added that inquiries were continuing into the cause of the collision.
The Scottish Ambulance Service said that two people had been taken to the Glasgow Royal Infirmary as a result of the crash.
