Four men have been arrested in connection with the rape of a woman at a flat in Glasgow.
Police Scotland confirmed the men had been detained over the incident in Govanhill, in the south side of the city, in the early hours of Wednesday.
The men - aged 20, 19, and two aged 17 – were expected to appear at Glasgow Sheriff Court on Thursday in connection with the serious sexual assault, however they were released pending further enquiries.
Police cordoned off a property in Calder Street as part of the inquiry into the alleged rape of a 33-year-old woman.
A spokeswoman said: "Four men have been arrested in connection with an alleged serious sexual assault on a woman in a flat in Calder Street, Govanhill, at around 2.55am on Wednesday."
Prosecutors said the men had been released pending further investigation into the incident.
A Crown Office spokesman said: "The Procurator Fiscal at Glasgow received a report concerning four males in connection with an alleged incident on July 24. The report remains under the consideration of the procurator fiscal.
"Following full and careful consideration of the report by Crown Counsel, the accused have been liberated pending further inquiries and did not appear in court."
