A car caught fire on the M8 causing rush hours delays for motorists.
The vehicle was ablaze on the motorway between junction 24 Helen Street and junction 25 at the Clyde Tunnel slip road.
Strathclyde Fire and Rescue said one appliance had been called out to the blaze at around 9.30am on Thursday.
A spokesman said the fire was extinguished and no one was injured in the incident.
Traffic Scotland confirmed all four lanes westbound on the M8 were be closed as a result of the blaze.
Strathclyde Police also warned motorists to try to avoid the area as emergency services dealt with vehicle recovery. It was fully reopened at around 11.25am.
